Alive! Housing Information

Students:

All students will be housed in the Stephenson Complex during the summer Alive! sessions.  The Office of New Student Programs will assign you a roommate of the same gender for the purposes of orientation.  We hope this will give you the opportunity to meet new students and get acquainted with the residence life experience.

Incoming freshmen students attending the summer Alive! program are required to stay in the residence hall with New Student Programs.  This includes Running Start students.

Transfer students can opt out of staying in the residence hall, but will need to complete a waiver upon check-in of the Alive! program.

Parent/Guest Housing Information:

All parents will be housed in the Stephenson Complex during the summer Alive! sessions.  New Student Programs will place spouses/partners together (based on the information you provide in your registration form).  If you are not attending with a spouse/partner, New Student Programs will place you in a room with another parent participating in the program.  If you plan to attend with a friend and wish to stay with that person, please just let our office know and we can ensure you room together.

If you would like to upgrade your room to a single occupancy room, you can indicate the choice on your reservation form.  New Student Programs will assess an additional $20 for the upgraded room choice.

If you would like to opt-out of overnight accommodations, you will receive a $55 discount.

What to Expect:

  • Each room has two extra-long twin beds, a desk and a closet. Bed linens and towels are provided in each room.
  • Students and parents will be housed in separate rooms during orientation, so please make sure to pack accordingly.
  • The Stephenson Complex has communal restroom and shower facilities. We recommend bringing a shower caddy, a bath robe, and a personal towel.  Towels are provided, but may not be as large or soft as what you would find at home.
  • During the summer months, the rooms can become warm as there is no air conditioning in the Stephenson Complex residence halls. A fan can help make the rooms more comfortable.
  • Feel free to bring personal items (i.e. personal pillow, music player, etc.) that will make your stay more comfortable.
