Arrival and Check-In

Check in

Check-in will be at the Compton Union Building. Parking instructions for Alive! participants will be emailed prior to the start of the program.

Students must attend the entire orientation program in order to register for classes at the conclusion.

Residence hall move-in

Students should plan to move into their fall semester residence on arrival. You can start moving into campus residence halls as early as 8:00 a.m.

To see if you have a balance due or check your guest info, use your WSU network ID to log in to the orientation reservation system.

If your plans have changed, contact the Office of New Student Programs at 509-335-4242 or orientation@wsu.edu (include your WSU ID number).

Parking

Parking permits are available for you to print prior to your arrival on campus. Your pre-arrival email will have detailed instructions.

What to bring

Students will need:

  • Picture ID
  • WSU ID number and network ID
  • Documentation of any College Board AP exams
  • Transcripts of any college classes you’ve taken
  • Measles immunization documentation (if you haven’t already mailed it in)
  • Pens and pencils for the writing placement exams

Also important for everyone:

  • Comfortable walking shoes (you’ll be doing a lot of walking
  • A warm jacket/coat and umbrella (be prepared for cold, rain, and snow)
  • Backpack
  • Water
